Sponsorship Information
SQPN will be hosting the very first Catholic New Media Celebration on June 22 in Atlanta, Georgia the day after the Archdiocese’s annual Eucharistic Congress. The original press release for this exciting event can be found here.
As is mentioned in the press release, during the 42nd World Communications Day, Pope Benedict XVI stated that, “The new media - telecommunications and Internet in particular - are changing the very face of communication; perhaps this is a valuable opportunity to reshape it!”
We believe this very important and much needed conference will help to do exactly that.SQPN is working with the full support of the Archdiocese of Atlanta in hosting this event. In fact, the Archdiocese has committed to adding a section on their own website in conjunction with their Eucharistic Congress that takes place the previous two days, and the event has already received coverage from the Catholic newspaper for this Archdiocese.
Additionally, several prominent Catholic media outlets have also promised to promote the event. This is a great opportunity for businesses and Catholic organizations to help spread new media technologies. Admission to the one-day event is free. We simply want people to attend and learn and create for the benefit of the Catholic Church.
Therefore, sponsorships of $1,000 to $15,000 are desperately needed no later than May 26th to cover expenses and to provide adequate advertising and sponsorship promotional consideration. Sponsors who sign on after May 26th will be recognized at the event, and may have information included in the giveaway bags (as long as content is received by June 15), but may not be included in printed materials.
Registrations already indicate that the venue will be filled to its 600+ capacity, and obviously, if this first year is successful, SQPN will plan to continue doing this in years to come.Sponsors will be acknowledged on the CNMC website, as well as on the day of the event, unless they choose to remain anonymous.
For the sake of clarity, here is what sponsors can or can’t expect through their sponsorship:Here’s what is guaranteed at this time:
- At the CNMC each sponsor will be named at least once throughout the day, thanking them for their support.
- Optionally, sponsors can offer one item (t-shirt, coupon, or some other giveaway) to be included in a raffle that day. This item would be provided by you and not part of the actual sponsorship fee.
- SQPN will provide two tables that will be shared by all sponsors to provide information about their services, but not individual tables. Sponsors of $5,000 or more will have their own table where they can display information or sign people up for specific programs or additional information. For any sponsors under $5000, that sponsor can provide a stack of flyers or cards that attendees can freely take. Sponsors can refill these areas throughout the day. If we can afford to print bags (see below), your print materials can go directly in the bags instead.
- You’ll get a link from the celebration website.
- Sponsors at all levels will also be mentioned on both the Daily Breakfast and Rosary Army podcasts.
- Conference bags with the sponsor’s name/logo on the outside of the bag will be given to each attendee. Sponsors can provide 1 insert or giveaway to be included in the bag.
What the CNMC is unable to do:
- Our space is VERY limited, so we have to limit the banners an other items. Therefore, no banners, tripods, or extra advertisement space is available except for sponsors of $5,000 or more.
- We are also limited on tables. The space we have reserved now will be for the maximum amount of seats possible as well as tables for registration, some of the speakers, for SQPN displays, and for sponsors of $5,000 or more.
- Because most of our shows are affiliate shows, SQPN has no authority to promise any promotional consideration by any of the other affiliates. Therefore, a mention on the Daily Breakfast and Rosary Army is all I can promise at this time.
We are doing everything we can to help foster community and creativity in an effort to truly spread the New Evangelization called for by Pope John Paul II. We believe the establishment of this day of celebration will be a vital tool in these efforts, and we would welcome the participation of sponsors in the Catholic community as well as corporations who provide services in support of these efforts.
We would welcome the opportunity to answer any questions you may have and would welcome your organization as one of the sponsors for the 2008 Catholic New Media Celebration.
